I was going out with my little sister when we decided to had our lunch in one of the pizza bar in our surroundings.

When I sat @ the place, i notice that there's several people -probably colleagues- hanging out together behind my table. Later on, i recognized that one of them is the pizza bar owner because she kept on going in and out of the pantry area.

One thing that made us kinda surprised was that she kept on ordering her employees to re-heat the foods and drinks she bought somewhere else and serve them to her and the colleagues. and definitely not the pizza she sells at the place (which actually tasted OK).

That made me compared her to one of the restaurant owners I know quite well, who always order food from the menu on their own restaurant. I think it's a good business attitude. How can you expect people to eat what you sell, when you yourself not gonna eat it?

gw tidak membicarakan masalah trekking ke gunung A, B, atau C. apalagi ngomongin Puncak. gw lagi ngomongin kenaekan harga di kiri dan kanan, atas dan bawah, depan dan belakang..

bukan sok kritis ya, tapi gw lagi gondooook setengah mati.

tarif dasar listrik kan naek tuh, tapi yang namanya mati lampu kayanya jalan terus. ga ya gw di rumah, ga ya gw di kantor, terakhir gw di rumah sakit.. ga kebayang deh gw nanti lagi di ruang operasi mati lampu. naudzubillahimindzaliiiikkkkk...

i think it's fair enough to think that if prices rise, it should come with better condition; minimal sih bs memperbaiki hal2 yang kurang. jadi yang bayar juga ga merasa dikerjain.

gw tau kadang pemakaian listrik orang suka lebay, tapi ga juga mati lampunya continues dooong..

this is the comment that i was going to write in my bestie's post in her blog. tapi karena super panjang, gw jadiin posting di blog gw aja deh, biar dia baca disini hehehe :)

here's what i was going to write:

been there

and the "kok gw masih disini" akan makin parah pas lo udah nikah :)

tapi... the understanding akan make u got through that kok

kalo gw sih, ketika gw kena sindrom "ih kenapa gw ngejogrok disini aja tp yg lain maju terus?" gw selalu inget masa2 ketika gw memutuskan menikah, memilih menjalani hidup jadi istri ibu sama anak yg berdedikasi :P

toh walau skenario hidup gw agak di luar perencanaan gw, tp berjalan dengan amat sangat baik kok.

instead of sekolah di jepang, gw got the chance to do volunteer work sama istri2 jepang disini. and i got another million second chances untuk melakukan hal seru lainnya.

instead of travelling backpacking tiap tahun, i got the chance to help my husband and his mom to run the family travel business. it equals, tahun depan gw bisa Haji alhamdulillah

instead of running my career in UN, i got the chance to assist my dad building apartments here and there. i got the broader networking and new knowledge. i can safely say gw lulusan sastra jepang yg bisa baca feasibility study-nya sebuah proyek dan baca denah rumah :)

instead of having fun all day and hanging out with friends, I am now enjoying my moments with husband and my baby to be. i still go out with friends, sometimes and husband also still go out friends, sometimes. other times we hang out together with our friends

and unlike some people, i can say, getting married does give me a lot of other opportunities and luck i may not have if i havent got married.

for that i feel blessed. and i never regret.

Namanya Asa. Nama bayi yang sekarang sedang gw kandung. Asa berarti harapan, kalo bahasa Taurat sih itu artinya penyembuh. Kalo bahasa Jepang artinya pagi. Walau gw ga tau dia akan lahir pagi siang sore malam, tp kalo toh ga lahir pagi, gw masih bs ngeles arti namanya yg lain kan? hahaha

Sebenernya gw pengen namain dia Asa gara-gara gw nonton drama Merlin di DVD. Pemerannya Mordred namanya Asa, and he got this greyish eyes. Keren ya? dan yang paling penting semua orang ga ada yg protes namanya Asa. dari sekarang, si baby udah punya panggilan deh pokoknya. walau tetep aja kita belom punya nama lengkapnya, la wong ga tau si baby laki apa perempuan :)

Asa has been a really nice kid, mungkin dia ngerti badan emaknya udah agak di luar batas, jadi setiap gw makan banyak, anak gw akan mulai membuat gw mual2 (diluar morning sickness gw ya, itu bukan gara2 Asa, tp emang salah hormon hahaha). jadi makan gw emang dikit tp sering hehe. yah so far berat badan gw ga pernah naek tuh udah 13 minggu. cuma perut gw buncit hihihi. mudah2an kalo pun naik, abis lahirin Asa semoga gw bisa langsing hahaha *ngarep*

Asa juga membuat gw makan makanan yg lebih sehat. gw ga pernah mual makan sayur, tp setiap gw bandel nyolong latte nyokap atau indomienya adek gw, langsung dia ngambek haha. muntah dan puyeng2 gw :)

hari ini gw lagi sakit. dan baru malem ini sempet ke dokternya Asa. kasian gw sama anak gw sebenernya. sakit gini gw makan ga ada yg enak. mana bubur ga tau kenapa tiba2 susah dicari.. makan nasi aja hoek2 gw.. seharian ini gw akhirnya cuma ngedoping Asa pake susu hamil dan air zam2. udah mana ni anak babenya lagi membanting tulang bawa jamaah umroh ke arab dan cairo... yang sabar ya nak...

tapi, papanya adek bayi lagi tidur kecapean. subuh2 nyari bahan2 kuliah, semalem pun dia pulang malem dari kantor dan kampus.

jadi, gw bilang ke anak gw sambil ngelus2 dia,

dek, papa lagi sibuk, lagi kecapean, adek yang sabar yah.. nanti kamu pasti dielus2 lagi tiap pagi...

abis itu, kram gw hilang.. call me stupid, lebay bin melankolis, tapi gw tau anak gw super pengertian.

Last night my sister screamed out that her class money (she's the treasury) went missing. 1,3 million rupiahs just disappeared from her bag. from a 5th grader bag.

I asked her to sit and calm down. She gave me the whole flow about what happen today

Sister: The teacher checked the money, she then asked me to put it in my bag. asked me to be careful since it's a lot of money

Me: What the hell? why do you have to bring it around with you?

Sister: Im not! its just yesterday she asked me to bring all the money

Me: who saw you bring the money?

Sister: xx,yy,zz (named 3 friends)

Me: arent zz is the one that you gave prank on her birthday? the one u set up as a thief to give the whole surprize?

Sister: i wasnt playing pranks with her! its one of the It Girl in my class who got the plan...

Mom: Later, do not join the pranks even if your besties asked you too. i think this time you got the prank. tomorrow's your birthday right? even the teacher sms me and said she didnt hold the money and we should wait till tomorrow.

Me: The teacher is impossible to join the joke right?

Sister: she loves to do prank

Dad: lets pay revenge :) sms the teacher that we gonna report to the police about the money.

as what expected it is a prank. The teacher went freaked out and tell the truth. She's even a part of the whole silly joke.

Knowing it, I kinda feel sad. I can assume to 2 points:

teacher who supposed to make the kid feel secure is making the kid insecure. Cant blame her if the kid wont trust her anymore
kid's jokes lately are very very annoying and silly. playing around with money and stuff. who knows what happened if the kid being set up was stressed and freaked out. Blame the TV? or should we blame our whole ignorance towards them?

bday surprise was supposed to be all nice right?

all i know, my sister has made herself promise that she wont do anymore prank, to anyone.

It's not mine. My Mom bought that from my friend, for my husband's birthday present (and that made him accused me for assuring my mom to buy that for him on behalf of me)

The fact is: I want the lens but i need to save. So when my mom offered me to buy that, I said No. She Gave Me A Lot Already. But then she remembered we planned to travel (which we dont know whether it's gonna happen or not *sigh), she remembered that we love taking pictures. She remembered my husband loves to take my portraiture pictures.

So she bought him this as a late bday present. Well, but I must say I'm happy too.

Photoshop and Lightroom

Wiama suggests me to start using Lightroom, and when i had it, I go all the way looking for tutorials and such. Then, I found something called "presets". Kinda similar to "action" in Photoshop, supposedly to make your processing job easier. I surf down the net and found this website, PresetsHeaven (which i found very much amusing!).

In one of his articles, the author wrote this:

Since I started using Lightroom I more often have a look at my old holiday photos. I believe the reason is because I like to play/experiment with them. Earlier I used Photoshop for this, but using “actions” in Photoshop is quite time-consuming since the only way of seeing an effect is to first apply it. If you know exactly what your action does, it works great though. If I’m just going to play with a particular photo, Photoshop would still be a good choice, but when it comes to multiple images…no thank you.

If I have 5 Thumbs, guess i'm gonna give it all to him. :)).

there's this thing about photoshop actions. because i can just click it then zap, the picture's nuance changes.

later i realize that even using actions requires you to be creative, and sensitive. it made me learn (like it or not) to edit the pictures outside using the actions..

still, i love editing/post processing those pictures.

but, questions then arise. process em or not. i mean, I wanna use the DSLR because it creates different image from the ordinary pocket cam, so why still i edit them?

i dont know. shud i continue my editing thing??

i always realize that i love my family.

but, in those times when we are close to each other, days were like just passing by.

distance, is a good measurement about how much you love them. you;ll end up realize you love them more than you thought.

my brother stays in NZ, and my sis stays outside of town. i often miss them. and when i stay out of town, i get to miss my littlest sister and my folks. i even always miss my husband when he's off to college and work.

yesterday i got the chance to spend the whole day with my sister. very fun. and i really enjoyed it.

i now longing for the day hubby will come home from his job out of the country. im going to hug him real tight he cant even breath.

Berita di Metro TV menayangkan si pencuri pisang yang dihukum bertahun-tahun. Gw yang saat itu lagi berdua adek gw yang masih kelas 5 SD cuma bisa mendesah sedih. I'm living in a very cruel world.

Adek gw yang ga bisa menahan kegondokannya, langsung memaki dengan serius. I mean, VERY SERIOUS.

Nenek-nenek nyuri Kakao masuk penjara, nyuri pisang dihukum bertahun-tahun, ekstasi kebawa dikurung 4 tahun.. Anggoro+Anggodo malah berkeliaran! Nasabah Bank Century ga dibalikin duitnya! Negara macam apa sih?!

Prewedding Pictures

Last Sunday my soulmate and I were taking prewedding pictures. Very sorry I can't upload it now. BIG SURPRISE hahaha... (i know, the title cheated you hahaha)

Anyway, our pictures were taken by Andi Sufyandi (+628122050551). During photo session, this guy -without realizing at all- had his wallet accidentally opened by my Sis (because she thought it was my fiancee's wallet) and accidentally taken to the office by my Dad (because he thought it was his wallet) hahaha

Our make up were done by Dyah Margiastuti (+628129459142). Tante Dyah is now enjoying her 51st years of living, having 1 grand daughter, yet still productive and stunning!

Tadi siang, untuk menyenangkan hati adek gw yang kecil karena emak gw pergi melulu, emak gw nyuruh gw ngajak adek gw itu ke salah satu kafe di deket rumah (tempatnya di Golden Boulevard BSD), namanya Venedig :)

Sebenernya coba-coba sih, cuma tertarik sama tulisan "eat and play" di depan kafenya, tapi ga nyesel juga kesana. Untuk interior biasa banget, tapi dia punya satu pojokan berisi beberapa majalah dan selemari maenan! Bukan robot2an dsb, tp kaya permainan macam uno, monopoli atau permainan strategi. COCOK! gw suka banget maenan begitu :D

Untuk harganya standar ala kafe-kafe begitu deh. Nasgor 19rb-an, steak 30-40rb-an. Tapi yang ngagetin, dia nawarin Sirloin WAGYU 200gr dengan harga 60rb! (kalo di Tamani, gw mikir dua kali deh buat beli... harganya juga ampir 3x lipat juga T_T) Karena penasaran ya wes lah gw coba.. Dan adek gw sukses makan sop buntut sama steaknya. Eh gw bantu comot2 deng (comotnya banyak) hehe. Minum kopi, Aqua, sop buntut + Wagyu steak dan games gratis semuanya dibuah 100rb. Masih cukup mahal sih buat gw yang lagi nabung. tp anggep aja sodakoh deh hehe :)

Cukup gw rekomendasikan lah buat yang pengen makan dengan variasi lain. Gw mulai memikirkan makan malem berdua Abang disini sambil maen UNO :P

ps: gw tadi maen "guillotine" selama nunggu makanan. Mejanya kecil gamesnya harus jejerin kartu, jadi gw harus makan di meja lain. Saran gw kalo mau enak sih, meja dua aja dijejerin biar bisa maen sambil makan/makan sambil maen.. ^^

Pampering Myself: A Big Wish

Within these hectic moments and activities, a nice pedicure + manicure, soothing lulur, relaxing reflexy (whether @ the beauty salon/ @ home) or even a simple moments like reading and watching movies together would be something considered grace.

I think I should have some moments that way, just so I stay sane :)

PS: Does shopping for seserahan/pulangan considered pampering myself too? It's kinda fun to pick and choose stuffs :) shop is considered as girl's heaven right? but seeing seserahan list was somewhat shocking. Maybe I'm not the type of a person who ask for something so much. Dad's teaching: giving is better than asking. You give people something, God will give you more. And etc :P

Actually I like to shop, especially shopping for books! But I need to save money and such for the pre and post wedding, so probably I need to hide my credit card, atm card and money somewhere else :P

An Nisa 19 and Us

وَعَاشِرُوهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ۚ فَإِن كَرِهْتُمُوهُنَّ فَعَسَىٰ أَن تَكْرَهُوا شَيْئًا وَيَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ فِيهِ خَيْرًا كَثِيرًا

"and treat them kindly; then if you hate them, it may be that you dislike a thing while Allah has placed abundant good in it." (An-Nisa`: 19)

“ Dan bergaullah kalian dengan mereka secara patut. Kemudian bila kalian tidak menyukai mereka maka bersabarlah karena mungkin kalian tidak menyukai sesuatu padahal Allah menjadikan padanya kebaikan yang banyak.” (An-Nisa`: 19)

I am a very sensitive person, especially to people I'm comfortable the most. I might be very strong, very tough for other person. But not to the person that I can rely my self to. I'm such a crybaby. I'm such a person who wants to be spoiled. Maybe because people around me wants me to be their wonderwall, their place to lean on. So, when I found Abang, I feel like I'm the one who s'posed to lean on him.

But I forgot how he has a very hard role in his life.. Has to be a brother, a father, even sometimes the mother when he's in charge at home. I forgot maybe he's tired and wants to lean on me and wants me to understand him, not just me who wants him to understand.

I'm too comfortable with him, I forgot to ask how he felt about me clinging around him and being so dependence on him.

And I feel very guilty... Would you please forgive me? :')

Yesterday, we have this heart to heart talk. Like I said before, marriage preparation makes things a bit more sensitive than they used to.

So, we both are going to try to reduce our minuses and try to understand each other better. We both are going to try to accept each other the way we are, even more than before.

Like the Qur'an verse I posted above, the point is, we might have things we don't really like from each other. But we remember that there's a lot of things we love from each other.

Things that I can't do and he can do, or he can't do and I can do; it makes us complete. That make us stick to each other even when we're very far. That we passed through and will be passed. Like our prayers to each other. Like our dreams we share and our adventure we try to pursue. Like how much he protect me and showers me with love and care. Like how much I love him and his families as much as I love mine. Like how I always wanting him to be happy, and how he always wanting me to be alright and not even sick at all.

There's still a lot more things from us; from each other; which we thank God have given to us.

I think we are going to survive and has this story being lived up to the fullest. Somehow, I am more convince than ever to walk my life with you.

The Power of Istirja

This whole 2 weeks has consumed most of my energy because I gotta take care of this matter. Today, I have some terrible-terrible-terrible problems. I was exploding. Like a bomb with timer. And after that, I can only do Istirja (Innalillahi wa inna illaihi roji'un. Saying people often thought as saying that is only spoken when someone's dead)..

The reason why I often said Istirja is because I believe all the bad things happen, happen for a good reason. My folks @ home also taught me since I was a child, that when I said Istirja, I'd have a good replacement for the bad things that happened.

Like always, today it's proven too. yihaaaa!

I have a new handphone from the office hahhahaha,,,,

and my Abang is veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy supportive and calming :D

It's my Lil Bro pictures when he had his 19th B-day. His girlfriend got him a cake, which he ate even though he never likes any cakes haha.. That's what I called as Love Rules Everything :P

The pictures were taken so his girlfriend can adore him when he's afar. But I'm so forgetful I just uploaded it now. (Maaf ya, Lok hehe)

High Tension

Before I decided when to get married, lots of people told me that the preparation of a wedding is one big mess. A mix of fun, excitement, horror, stress, pressure and hope. with a sprinkle of lovey-dovey and conflict. Abang once told me that when those frictions happen, we both are the one supposed to stay calm. I agree with that, but sometimes things are easier said than done. I kinda feel the tension around is pretty unstable and high. Especially when my work forces me to spend more time on it... Then, I seem to be the person who cannot hold the patience.

Don't know why,,

maybe because when everyone seem to take high-pitched voice tone or being cynical or being doubtful or yelling or getting mad at me, I manage to hold my grudge..

And maybe, I want people to do things I've done for them (pretty much holding up to the sayings: if you want people to do things you want them to do to you, do the things to people)...

And maybe, I need to learn more about fixing myself to get a better me. .

And maybe, I need to start smiling again even though things are complicated and everyone around me are being stressful too..

I definitely have to pray more. Well, if I can coupe with all of the thoughts and the problems that come, then I can get along well right? It's for my future anyway :')

So Called Sports Day

I was doing 2 sports today:

First, Mom+I took a fabrics-hunting sport @ mayestik. Yes, for the wedding kebayas+suits. Thought that we're going to look for mine first, and the rest can wait until the other day.

We go hunting to 2 shops first, one has this 50% discount for all stuffs, one has lots of men's fabrics. Bought 1 for my ceremony and 2 (for reception+ceremony) for my beloved soulmate, Abang (in the end of my day, we just realized that the fabric Abang is going to use for ceremony didnt really match my kebaya fabric. So we decided to borrow it form the make up artist, but we're going to buy the batik and etc.).

Mom was pretty much confuse about the colours of the jilbab for the kebayas, so the guy in the 2nd shop pointed us to this shop called Purnama Tekstil. We ended bought the uniforms for ceremony and reception for our parents, grannies, aunties, sisters, and brothers over there.

We also bought fabrics for my reception. It's my most expensive fabrics, and very much the apple of my eye! I think i'll end up gazing/adoring/memorizing it before have it being sewn. We also being served with cappucinos, croissants, samosas (which they wrapped too so i can bring them home), sate ayam and teh tawar. Definitely my most expensive snacks+lunch. hahaha

Second, I'm swimming!!! yeaaay!!! Abang sms-ed me saying that he didnt quite feel good so he wanted me to accompany him swimming. Right after i came home, Abang pick me up to swim in Ocean Park. never really liked the place, but i think swimming in the afternoon over there is OK. Wasn't too crowded and we can swim in the riverstream pool without any hesitation :). I am so gonna take my Abang for swimming again, I love swimming and I love it more when Abang is with me! ^^

Actually, the reason why Abang was dropping by was because we had our appointment with our future photographer being cancelled because his boss suddenly asked him to accompany the office's client. Kinda disappointed especially Abang drove real far from Jatibening just to meet him @ the very first place. I know he's very tired. Seeing him coming without even thinkin about his tireness reall put me in a very ambiguous feeling. Touched, for he came all the way for the sake of our wedding preparation and for swimming with me, but kinda sad seeing him super tired like that. Probably I love him too much, I'm being over-worried.

Thank God, Dad's fave guy to sew his suit was dropping by to fit Dad+Abang's height so the suit can be sewn real fast! Quite paid Abang's effort to come all the way! :)

New Blog and a Sambal Mangga

I think it's fair enough for me to simply share my thoughts without thinking whether people would love to read mine or not. I'm right, am not I?

I think I've started to become the same-old-stressed-out-me between the rush hours of wedding, works, and personal life. I choose to write again in a new place, because:

- blogger has lots of cute free templates

- the arrangement of the pictures i want to post is quite easy for computer amateurs like me.

anyway, today Abang, my soulmate, was dropping by before he went to the campus. and we are experimenting sambal mangga/mango-chilly sauce. of course with chilly sauce made by Si Mbak this morning, and mango being chopped off and mixed with chilly sauce by Abang when we have lunch.

I'm just watching, but I enjoy the moment. And the sambal mangga too :)
